The Portuguese holding company has taken another step towards integrating sustainability into its business, with the creation of a Sustainability Committee and the adoption of a Sustainability Policy across the group.
"This is a strategic milestone that consolidates Wellow Network's vision for responsible, transparent growth with a positive impact," says Tatiana Vale, Wellow Network's sustainability manager.
Wellow Network has just published its first Sustainability Report, a document that systematises actions, impact and indicators in the environmental, social and governance (ESG) dimensions. This initiative comes in the same year that the organisation formalised its Sustainability Policy and set up its Sustainability Committee, made up of members of the board of directors and the executive board.
Sustainability is thus taking on an increasingly strategic role in the group's operations, which brings together several brands from different sectors.
"We are aware of the responsibility we have as a business group. This report is more than just an account of the journey we have made: it is a reflection of the culture we want to promote, based on ethics, respect for people and responsible management of resources," says César Santos, Founder and Chairman of Wellow Network.
The Sustainability Committee will play an active role in defining and monitoring strategic indicators, ensuring that sustainability is integrated across the board in all decisions and areas of the organisation.
With this publication, Wellow Network reinforces its ambition to build long-term value by contributing to a fairer, more sustainable and resilient economy.
