As part of Wellow Sustentável, Wellow Network has joined forces with the annual campaign organised by Oeiras Community Valley, by donating school supplies to support 535 children in the municipality who are now starting the first cycle of basic education.
A new school year marks a new cycle of learning, growth and opportunities. To help ensure that all children can start the year with what they need, Wellow Network has once again joined forces with the local community through an initiative to support education.
Part of the Sustainable Wellow, Wellow Network’s involvement in the annual campaign organised by Oeiras Community Valley took the form of a donation of school supplies intended for 535 children from the municipality of Oeiras who are starting primary school.
The initiative brought together local companies, institutions and organisations around a common goal: to help ensure that all pupils have access to the essential tools they need to learn, grow and develop their potential, whilst promoting greater equality of opportunity.
At Wellow Network, we see sustainability as a responsibility that is also reflected in the way we engage with and contribute to the communities in which we operate.
This initiative contributes to four of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): SDG 1 – No Poverty; SDG 4 – Quality Education; SDG 10 – Reducing Inequalities; and SDG 17 – Partnerships for the Goals.
